Davis has taught Music Appreciation in the District of Columbia Public School System with special emphasis on curriculum writing, where he received numerous awards as an instructor and choirmaster. He became Interim Pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church at the age of 25, moved on to be an Associate Minister at the Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church, and has preached extensively across the Metropolitan Washington, DC area.
In the spring of 2007, Davis decided it was time to come home. He has since begun pastoring alongside his father Bishop Ross Davis, at the Golden Gates World Outreach Ministries, where he serves as Senior Pastor and shares the preaching pulpit with his father. Davis has been the music adjudicator for the Bahamas' National Arts Festival, is a sought after youth speaker and has served the School Board of S.C. McPherson, Junior High School.
Additionally, Davis is a playwright and has co-authored several stage plays put on by his sister Lyn Terez Davis-Nixon, aka Dynamite Daisy. As artistic director, he has led both locally and internationally with her production company Dynamite Productions.
With deep roots and a passion for serving the community, Davis is now a licensed real estate agent with HGChristie Ltd. Well balanced and a natural leader, he can help guide you toward the best location for your needs and lifestyle. Trent looks forward to serving homebuyers, investors, sellers and families before, during and long after the sale.
Married to the former Novia Minus for more than 30 years, the couple has one son Jamal. Reverend Davis lives his life by the credo: It is better to be a standing follower than a fallen leader.
